
When you’re sick or in need of a quick, warm, comforting meal, there’s nothing better than a bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup! Today we will be making a freezer chicken noodle soup kit-prepping all of the ingredients into one bag, so all you have to do is add it to a pot of boiling water when you need it!


Freezer Chicken Noodle Soup
Ingredients
- 12 ounces chicken thighs or breasts, cubed
- 2 large carrots, diced
- 3 celery stalks, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp sage
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- 2 TBSP bouillon powder
- 1 1/2- 2 cups pasta or noodle of choice
Instructions
- Place all ingredients except pasta in one large zip top bag (or divide between 2 bags for smaller pots). Freeze.
- To Cook: Thaw or partially thaw soup, if possible. Bring 8 cups of water to a boil (for the one large bag), or 4 cups for half the recipe.
- Pour the soup ingredients into the boiling water. Cook for 15 minutes (25 minutes if frozen).
- Stir in pasta of choice, and cook an additional 5-7 minutes.
