Today we are making my super easy no knead bread! So unbelievably crunchy and crusty on the outside, light and tender on the inside. I love to make a double batch so we always have some on hand in the freezer. Great to pair with soups, stews, to make a sandwich with, or simple snack on with some butter!

Easy No Knead Bread
Today we are making my super easy no knead bread! So unbelievably crunchy and crusty on the outside, light and tender on the inside.
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (about 100 degrees)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top, and let sit for 5 minutes, or until it begins to foam.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour the yeast mixture in. Use a wooden spoon and stir until combined. It will be sticky!
- Cover and let stand 5-6 hours, or until doubled and surface is dotted with bubbles.
- Dust a surface with flour and, with floured hands, fold the dough over on itself 3 or 4 times, shaping into a round. (It will still be very sticky).
- Grease a large bowl and place the round in. Cover and let rise another hour, or until doubled again.
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees with a large Dutch oven inside for 30 minutes.
- Place the bread on a square of parchment paper, and carefully lower into the preheated pot. Cut an X in the top, if desired.
- Cover, and bake 30 minutes. Remove the lid, and bake 15-20 minutes more, or until golden brown and crusty. (210 degrees internally). Remove and let cool.
