
Craving McDonald’s chicken nuggets but want to make them at home?
In today’s video, I’m sharing my copycat McDonald’s chicken nuggets recipe that tastes just like the real thing — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and totally kid-approved.


Copycat McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 TBSP garlic powder
- 1/2 TBSP onion powder
- 1/2 TBSP paprika
- 1 TBSP cornstarch
- salt and pepper to taste
Batter
- 1 cup flour
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups cold water
- oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken with the seasoning and cornstarch. Mix well. Form into nuggets and place on a baking sheet. Freeze for 30 minutes.
- Mix the dry ingredients for the batter. Dip the nuggets into the dry mix, and place back on the baking sheet.
- Add water to the remaining dry mixture.
- Heat oil to 350 degrees. Dip the nuggets into the wet batter and drop right into the oil. Fry 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces!
