Copycat McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets (They Taste Just Like the Real Thing!)

In today’s video, I’m sharing my copycat McDonald’s chicken nuggets recipe that tastes just like the real thing — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and totally kid-approved.

Copycat McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 TBSP garlic powder
  • 1/2 TBSP onion powder
  • 1/2 TBSP paprika
  • 1 TBSP cornstarch
  • salt and pepper to taste

Batter

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups cold water
  • oil, for frying

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine the chicken with the seasoning and cornstarch. Mix well. Form into nuggets and place on a baking sheet. Freeze for 30 minutes.
  • Mix the dry ingredients for the batter. Dip the nuggets into the dry mix, and place back on the baking sheet.
  • Add water to the remaining dry mixture.
  • Heat oil to 350 degrees. Dip the nuggets into the wet batter and drop right into the oil. Fry 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces!
