Corn Dog Nuggets | Casey’s Corner Copycat Recipe

Today we are making a copycat recipe for Casey’s Corner Corn Dog Nuggets at Magic Kingdom. Crispy, sweet, and oh so addicting! They remind me of carnivals, State Fairs, and are perfect for summertime, and so easy to make.

Corn Dog Nuggets Copycat Recipe

Crispy mini corn dog nuggets. Inspired by Casey's Corner at Magic Kingdom

Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 Tablespoons melted butter, cooled
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspooons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 hot dogs, cut in 4’s
  • oil for frying

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt. Add in the milk, egg, butter, and honey. Whisk until smooth. 2. Heat a large pot of oil to 350 degrees F. 3. Dip the hot dog pieces in the batter. Using a fork, drain off the excess batter and carefully drop into the hot oil. Fry in batches, about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown. 4. Drain on a sheet pan lined with paper towels. Serve with ketchup and mustard!
