In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Pour in the boiling water. Stir for 2-3 minutes, or until the dough is smooth.
Let cool for 5 minutes. Add into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
Heat oil to 350 degrees. Pipe out some dough and cut with scissors. Place in oil. Fry 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Roll in cinnamon sugar.
Serve with melted chocolate, if desired.
