Homemade Pizza Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 32 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 2 TBSP olive oil
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, drizzle in the olive oil. Stir in the minced garlic, and cook for 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
  • Add in the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, followed by the remaining ingredients.
  • Bring to a simmer, and turn the heat down to low. Simmer, stirring occasionally for 10-15 minutes, or until thickened.
  • Taste, and add more salt if needed.

Notes

Can be frozen for up to 6 months!
Makes 6-8 pizzas.
